Plain English

deBridge is a cross-chain bridge launched in 2021. Uses an intent-based architecture where professional solvers compete to fulfill cross-chain orders. DBR token launched in 2024 via airdrop. Supports 25+ chains including Solana, Bitcoin (via wrapped), and major EVM chains.

How it actually works

Users post orders specifying what they want delivered on the destination chain; solvers race to fulfill them and earn fees. Architecture protects against many bridge attack vectors by not relying on a custodial lock-and-mint pattern. dePort offers programmable cross-chain swaps for dApp developers.

What it means for you

deBridge has gained traction for non-EVM cross-chain transfers (especially Solana-to-Ethereum) where alternatives like Wormhole are larger but historically riskier. For HNW users specifically moving capital across the Solana/Ethereum divide, deBridge is worth comparing against Wormhole.
