Revolut Crypto is the cryptocurrency trading feature inside the Revolut neobank app, founded in 2015 in the UK. Offers buy/sell of major cryptocurrencies (~30+) inside the broader Revolut banking experience. Holds banking licenses in the EU and a US national bank charter pursuit ongoing.
How it actually works
Trading fees are tiered: free plan ~1.99%, paid plans (Premium/Metal) 1.49% or lower. Allowed withdrawal of selected cryptos to self-custody from 2022 onward. Available across the EU, UK, and parts of Asia; limited US offering. Reserves backing are not publicly disclosed in the same way as crypto-native exchanges.
What it means for you
Revolut Crypto integrates well with the rest of Revolut banking — useful for European users already in the ecosystem. For pure crypto execution, dedicated exchanges remain more efficient on fees and breadth. Holding crypto inside Revolut for years is operationally fine; for size positions, withdraw to dedicated custody.
