Plain English

Rarible is a multi-chain NFT marketplace founded in 2020. RARI is the governance token. Multi-chain support including Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Tezos, Flow, Immutable. Differentiator: Rarible Protocol provides white-label NFT infrastructure for other platforms to build on.

How it actually works

1% marketplace fee on trades. Royalty enforcement varies by chain. Rarible Protocol is used by partner platforms to deploy custom NFT marketplaces with shared liquidity. RARI stakers participate in fee revenue distribution.

What it means for you

Rarible occupies a middle ground — broader than curated platforms (Foundation, SuperRare), smaller than mass-market venues (OpenSea, Blur). Most useful for users active across multiple chains beyond Ethereum and Solana. For mainstream activity, larger venues are usually preferred.
